Mazharullah Shaik, M.D., director of Health Technology Programs at the NTTC, spoke at the Health Policy Fellowship Rural Health seminar at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine June 8-9 in Lewisburg, W.Va.

At the conference, Dr. Shaik discussed the role of health information technology in the delivery of quality health care to rural Americans; identified challenges facing e-health initiatives, including funding; and described initiatives to strengthen and expand e-health networks in rural areas.
