A new committee is now in place to help improve communication and technical development of HEALTHeWV’s electronic medical records system so that the future needs of the clinics will be best served. Kathy Platter, RN, Clinical Manager-Health Outcomes with the HEALTHeWV program leads the Clinical Enhancement Committee (CEC). The CEC is also comprised of medical staff and administrators from various clinics throughout the state. The goal of the committee is to guide developers of the HEALTHeWV electronic health record by providing feedback about the type of clinical enhancements and upgrades that are truly needed by providers and administrators in rural West Virginia. This should prove to be a valuable asset to the program and a special thank you goes out to all of those serving on the committee.
